  • Zebra'd my SD2 Tele

That's an all cream Duncan '59 Bridge in the neck (yep, Bridge to replace the original SH1-N for more hotness and fullness) and a Duncan Distortion in the bridge. To top it all off, I used the DR "Black Beauty" strings to match the hardware, dot inlay, and logo. The DD has more output and better harmonics than the TB-4, although both are good in this guitar...

That's a nice looking tele dude! I always loved the zebra pickups. Nice choice!

            Like a hotel suite?

They do suit it nicely, though.

Wow. Wouldn't have really thought of it, but they really do add nicely to the look.

They won't be black for long.By that I mean they don't last very long and the black wears off quickly.

Depends on the acidity of your fingers and how hard you pick/strum the strings. For me, the DR brand coated strings actually last longer and have better tone than other brands. The colors on the strings on the fret board do not fade at all for me. But in the picking area, usually the high E and B strings lose some coating where they are constantly hit by the pick. But that normally takes hours and hours of play to get that way.
