What is this model? Quilted maple top, Tone Zone humbucker
What is this model? Quilted maple top, Tone Zone humbucker
can anyone tell me the model of this charvel? it looks to me like a guitar made in the custom shop from after 2000 at least. it has a quilted maple top, dimarzio tone zone, floyd and a maple neck.
Cheap floyd, 12th fret dot spacing and rounded butt 22 fret neck make me think it's a parts guitar.
Crooked pickup mounting makes me think it's a USA Charvel.

The pickup is straight, the trem is crooked.
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.
Those come without the trem holes drilled. Someone can't drill strait.
The quilt doesn't go well with that burst too. I was wondering what the quality of these were myself.(started a thread that no one ahs answered yet)
Charvels w/22 frets have the square fretboard edge, that one is rounded like a Fender.12th fret dot spacing wrong and does not appear to be 1/4 sawn either.
Hard to tell, but doesn't look like it has the FB hang over.
here's two more pics. thanks so much for your help. i was looking to buy this guitar locally but if it's not a real charvel then i'm gonna pass. i thought the floyd looked like one of the el-cheapo versions but i didn't even see how the bridge was installed on a slant until you guys mentioned it and i blew the photo up - you guys are life-savers! (and cash-savers!) ;-) thanks again!
Not bad guitar, what are they asking? Please do not list the source.
PM me the price if need be.
I'd pay for $300.00-$400.00. .depending on how it plays, looks etc. The floyd can be replaced with a real one. It's a not a bad clone.Headstock looks incorrect too,but overall not bad guitar.
Yep. Not real at all. 12th fret dots and rounded fretboard past the 22 fret is a dead giveaway. Also, the knob placement is off. Logo placemnt is off and the headstock does not look cleared. That is a home-made fake (and lucky foryou, not a really good one).
