  • Very cool custom shop Charvel strat

How cool is this! Love the classic strat look with some tasteful upgrades:

This was at a store in Japan.

Also, slightly off-forum, but the Japanese market is getting some cool low-end strathead Charvels now, designated as "Model" series. That second one is priced at $600 or so.

The bodys on the last 3 pics are very much like a Jackson Dinky.

I love these! especially the Second one

          Damn, those look very nice.
I had no idea they were producing strat heads overseas.

Is is just me or do the logo's look enlarged on some of those?

            that's exactly what they are.

I too like the second one. wonder what the price is on these, esp with the ebony board and the painted headstock (which we don't get here in the US, apparently).
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives

              that's what I thought also...

Would I be wrong if I said Charvels had non-recessed bridges?

There were something like $600 for the vintage trem, and $1000 for the floyd ones.

After looking at this a few times, I think the actual price w/ tax is 117,600 yen, or roughly $1.1k. Add shipping, and it's pretty pricey considering what the USA production models go for. IMO, you'd really have to be hellbent on the features like the dinky body, ebony fretboard, recessed floyd, 1 5/8" nut width (likely on Japanese models), etc. for it to make any sense.

Those look sweet though. It would be nice to have that kind of variety from Charvel here in the US.

Those Japanese Charvel Model A-D guitars have already been out of production for few months, if I didn't misunderstood (using google translate) jacksonstars.com text.

Are those actual Dinky bodies? The horns look a bit different. Either way, I think they look pretty good. I still like a cut down strat body.
