Just noticed, it looks like the pickguard only has 8 mounting screws. I believe the original pickguard used 11. Did you ask WD to do it this way?

Yes. Seven of the holes line up exactly, the only one that's different I drilled out. It's a "vintage 8-hole" pickguard pattern.

By the way the guitar looks really good with your mods. I believe this may have been Charvels intention - sell a high quality, reasonably price, stripped down guitar and let the player "hot Rod" it. Wasn't that what initially put Charvel on the map?

a word to the wise before everyone fills WD's coffers with their hard-earned...

the $25 Warmoth 11 hole strat 2H pickguard fits the guitar. the only issue I had was the bridge pup hole was just a hair lower than the Charvel opening, and if the pup sat lower it would be a problem, but at the higher level the bridge pup sits under the canted Floyd, it is a little tight but basically works fine.
