USA Production Model Series - in wider distribution

Anyone else see that the new Charvels are now available in a lot more stores - both online and not? The first round didn't seem to be widely available but I see a lot of online stores now taking orders for the new colors, etc. That's a good sign.

Looks like FMIC might be using their distribution power to help Charvel. If it increases sales ... that's a good thing as it can help reinvigorate the brand and possibly lead to more selection of styles for us to GAS over.

Does that mean we might be seeing Charvels in stores like Sam Ash and Guitar Center now? I'm tired of all the Fenders I constantly see there. They stock just about EVERY model of Strat and Squire but they have maybe 3 or 4 "Made in India" Jacksons and that's it. The only time I see any higher quality Jackson model there is when it is used.

It would be nice to be able to actually touch one of these new Charvels. I don't have a lot of time usually to go to places like the Music Zoo. (Although it's not TOO far away!)

I don't see any Charvel USA Production Model Series guitars on the biggest ones yet: Musicians Friend, Guitar Center, American Musical Supply, Sam Ash, Music 123 so who knows if they will pick them up or not.

i hope GC doesn't pick up the charvel's because then I won't want one.

The local store in Raleigh has had some DeMartinis in the past. Would be nice to see some production models in there. I bought mine sight unseen and have been happy but I'd imagine a lot of folks would rather see touch and hear one in person before plunking down the dough.

Its funny that they list the Socal as a Socal style 1. Does that mean that theyve got a Socal style 2 in mind?

It was called the So Cal Style 1 in the beginning. My guess is Charvel was leaving their options open for a possible future Style 2, etc.
