Are the OFRs on the new production series the FRS-2000 as on the Jackson imports?

The Discovery series guitars all had Speedloader bridges - trem or fixed. Whether those Speedloaders were Chinese or not, I don't know.

Again, to the best of my knowledge, there are no OFR bridges made in China.

someone with both should get on this case! it must be solved!

i know that schecters and esp's use korean built ofrs on their midrange guitar called the FRT-1000 (black). If the rr24 does in fact use something called the FRS-2000 then they are not the same trems. maybe.

BUT it'd be cool to have someone pull the trem on each guitar and snap some pics!! anyone need to do a string change?

Bionic works for Jackson, so I'm sure he would know.

Cool. Good to get clarification on that.

          DSOT3
Made entirely in China... including the trem...
The entire guitar cost $149. ($299 MSRP)

I stand corrected. Never saw one of those. And they're not listed on the FR website.

I can tell from that one pic, though, that is clearly not the same trem as on the RR24 and Charvels. Looks very different.

              They were discontinued.
These were the ones the MF was blowing out.
The lighting makes the trem look a bit off.
It does have a bevel on the back of the string blocks and the edges are not as rounded as the pic makes them out to be.
The plating is a bit shoddy on the string blocks. You can see some pitting.

Hey Nick... I was referring to the DSOT3.
                  It was discontinued.
Obviously the line is still around.
