So whatever happened to...?

Going quite a while back, there was a pic on the Charvel website showing a rack of Charvels, pretty much from mid-neck up only. I think there was word that they were going to be another Grover series. If my memory doesn't fail me, I think these looked like birdseye necks, trans-tops, stratheads with matching headstocks, vintage trem (no locking nut), crownhead tuners.

Anyone remember this? Whatever happened to these? Just curious.

In any event, some of the guitars were clearly already built. What happened to them?

Oh yeah - good point! I think that obviously the formal run was binned cos they couldn't sell the first runs, and I did hear that the guitars made for the 3rd run were sitting in a FMIC warehouse somewhere.

Well, even though I'm not a VT fan, they sure looked like nice pieces. Hope they make it out of there sometime.

Oh yeah. Those looked to be very sweet - a grover run that actually catch my attention. Really, the prices they were requesting in the first two runs was outragous.

Grover told me there were a bunch in the warehouses yet. If you wanted one, I am sure you could get one a better price break.
