Does anyone have the dimensions on the neck for these new production series? That is, measurements of thickness at the 1st and 12th fret? I've seen conflicting reports that the production series guitars are different (thicker/thinner) from the custom shop guitars. Is this true? Thanks.

they are .790" 1st to .850" 12th (give or take .010" i'd say) with 2 1/4" heel, 1 11/16" nut width, 12-16" radius and jumbo frets. i've had two and both were .790" - .850" but there must be some variation through the line though so i'd give them that .010" fudge factor. all my custom shops have been more consistent at .750" 1st to .810" 12th.

Thanks for posting these measurements; I was surprised that it wasn't posted elsewhere. In any case, this info is exactly what I've been looking for.
With your measurements, here's what I've compiled so far for guitars that include some of my reference necks:
.790" - .850" Charvel Production Series
.750" - .810" Charvel San Dimas
.825" - .890" Jackson PC1
.800" - .850" Warmoth Standard Thin Profile
.780" - ????" Fender American Strat
.810" - ????" Fender 60's Strat
I like the feel of the Fender American and the Warmoth Standard Thin, so I think the Production Series is going to be a winner. Thanks again!

if you like the warmoth standard thin you should like the pro-mod charvels too since they're right in the same ballpark as for thickness. the actual back shape falls somewhere between a C and a D. it's not quite as round as a C but also not as fat as a D.
