Why does a Les Paul cost as much as a Les Paul does? Especially these days with yet more q/c issues and cost cutting in terms of cheap wood etc at Gibson....

Imagine all 3 hanging in your crib!
There's something very odd about that picture. Anyone else see it or am I imagining things?

I think its shadows being cast from windows. It makes it look like the wall has a corner and yet the guitars are still hung flat. I noticed that too.

+1 I totally agree. I've played a WD and, while it's a very nice guitar, there are definately just as good or better guitars that cost less. Maybe it's the paint... To each his/her own I guess.

I didn't notice the corner/shadow thing, but I did notice that the far right skull has no eyes? I know some did.

                ** Yep..shadows... it's a large closet to the left, full of cases..and
you can see one corner of one case up above... down low...the speaker
cab of a Peavey PA system..

As far as I know, none of the DeMartini BDS guitars had eyes. The blood drips are all hand done so those are different on every guitar but the skull is pretty consistent. If you have any pics of some with eyes, I'd like to see them. That would be very different from Warren's original.

If i remember only 1 or 2 were custom done with "Red eyes" in the skull...
98% of the other 60? or so were like this. These 3 are from an

Bizarre Guitar/PHX, Az.. so i know they are authentic!

Only the initial run had the Custom Shop logo on the headstock. From my discussions with Dan Lawrence, he painted 15 of each model for that run. From the ones that I've seen, they were also signed by Grover Jackson on the trem cavity plate.

Robert, I would love to see a pic of one with the red eyes. Never seen one before and I'd like to know the story behind them if they do exist.

Sweet! I haven't got one yet, I keep saying it's next, but I don't know, if you don't mind me asking, how many $$ did you pay?

I paid $1450 shipped for a used one..pretty much flawless too.....awesome guitar, definitely the best sounding guitar I have...and maybe the best I have heard....number one player too....my 2005 pointy is a close second though...as far as feel, I like 'em both equally....the Warren definitely has the tone though. Its seems that the body on the warren might be slightly larger, havent measured it to be sure....maybe the edges are a little sharper radius then the 2005 pointy. Awesome 2 guitars to have. My slime green production model is an awesome player though....the tone is better on the other 2 pretty easy, but playibility on the slime green makes up for it,
