Yeah the high bidder (at $565) asked that his bid be cancelled due to financial constraints.

That dropped it down to the previous/current level.

Hopefully someone will throw down on it

MC - Can't say if the pots are linear or taper, as I simply do not know. I could never keep it straight in my head which one fades out and which one cuts off short when you back it off. These roll off smoothly so you get a full spectrum of useable volume.

And no, the original neck for the Green one is currently on Ebay.
Audio taper is a gradual fade and most if not all guitars have these.
Linear taper have a sharp drop off, and aren't good for musicial instruments. I believe they are used primarily for effects and amps, if I'm not mistaken.

Carvin actually uses linear for their guitars' volume controls and audio for tone the controls.

I assume that is the same bidder who messed with my auction ? He had 51 bid retractions in the last 6 months and 2 hanging over him now . From New Jersey ?

you won't be able to tell the defference till you play it at full band volume. and it should make a noticable difference. running the 250 should yeild the same results as if you connected the tone pot and capacitor.
(2 500k pots in parallel = 250k load. which is standard vol tone config.) i have noticed that any guitar i have at a full 500k has serious feedback issues at band volume.
