The slime green looks great and I bet the candy purple looks awesome in person. I have a candy blue one and have yet to see a good picture that shows how great the color is in person. I'm thinking the candy purple is the same way.

What color will the pickups be? Double Cream DiMarzio's?

Never mind the question. I just saw the website. They are black SD's. No Biggie, but, creams would be much better.

I don't want another Floyd, but it's green... So hard to say no.

$1000 was borderline for me with a cheaper Floyd and no HSC. With an increase to $1100 they lost me.

these play like twice the price.

you should try one first before jumping ship at a $100 increase. after playing my CT So-Cal I'm fine with $1099 to keep getting new fun colors. they are great guitars.

On one hand, I'd say if you've got $1000 for a guitar in this economy, you have $100 more. If not, you need to rethink your priorities (i.e. new guitars are NOT a priority at this time).

On the other hand, when does it end? "Just another $100 more" does eventually pile up, and the price ends up at $1500 or more, which is closer to "Custom Shop bolt-on with your own options" territory.

Hopefully the price increase is for a German-made Floyd or other legitimate reason and not "just because". If Charvel isn't making the money they needed, maybe someone needs to rethink the project (note that expected and needed are two different things - if you expect to make $1000 but only get $850, and you only need to make $800 to show profit, you've still made profit)

Exactly. These price increases can become a slippery slope. $100 here, another $50 there, suddenly it's at $1500. These are supposed to be affordable. Let's hope they keep it that way.

At the very end of the video it says "modified for higher performance" Wonder what that's about. Maybe like Newc said, if they upgraded the floyd and some of the other things that were mentioned on here before that were not so appealing that could account for the price increase. After all they did a Pagan gold w/pg due to comments on here, maybe they took some other ideas... I'm just sayin'..

I think that's just their slogan, (look at my signature) but my thoughts about the price raise is the "custom" colors posted everywhere. But if they are equipped with a german OFR that would be icing on the cake. -Still I will buy one one even with the FRT-2000 or whatever it is, It looks solid!
