Next mod will be to ditch the JB in favor of a Custom. The JB has a nasal sound that annoys me.

Floyd Rose didnt sell out to Fender, he sold the marketing rights to them for a set number of years, just like he did with Kramer back in the 80s. then he set a new company "Floyd Rose Marketing" and that company was sold to Davitt and Hanser at the beginning of this year. thats the reason that all the mid line BCRich's have OFRs on them.

and they are the Korean ones.

Also, I believe that the Ping Floyds are Chinese, not Korean.... these are not Pings.. (but thats not been verified by Mike)

Yeah I know!!! and minus a loose string, it was in tune and the action and intonation is still perfect after 3 weeks. I think it has acclimated well!

mine shipped in the orginal box and in the bag... strings were slacked, and it was fine. still scares me to death everytime i open the box after some of the horror stories i've read.

update on the guitar... with the new floyd she's a keeper.. the floyd that came on it is going on ebay shortly.
