  • A Case for my new San Dimas

Hey guys, need some help here. I can't decide on a good and protective case for my new So-Cal. I really like the old Chainsaw cases, but I don't think a strathead will fit in the pointy headstock space. I also like the new Fender hardshell cases but don't know how they will work with a Charvel, or if there would be any problems at all. Thanks for your help!

Any std Fender strat case will work fine.I have a model 2 mutt strat head that I use the std Fender G&G case.I have a new Fender case for my new SD Charvel too.
    Really? well screw Mark Twain.

I always like the SKB cases because they are light, and, they smell great inside! Like a new Charvel! Must be the glue they use.

I really like the new Fender/SKB cases. I have two of them for my So-Cal and Prod Tele. I'll take them over a G&G any day.

I agree they are great. I have searched high and low for a place to buy one but it appears you can't buy a G&G case all by itself in terms of buying one new. It seems G&G only OEMs to various guitar manufacturers. If anyone knows otherwise, I'd love to know how to get a G&G case other than buying one that says "Fender" on it.

+1 I agree. The new Fender/SKB Flight cases with the "flight" flipup latches are awesome. Best case IMO from Fender yet. I like them better than my G & G or Gator cases. Nice Handle as well.

When ever I take mine out of the house, I put it in my Carvin or Fender case.. Fits like a glove

:::edit::: And of course it fits in my SL2H case quite nicely too
