I shall keep my Slime Green Black but will change the pickups to Bareknuckle Zebra.

Black hardware on bright colors generally reminds me of those generic Dollar Store toy cars you used to get as a kid. They were flimsy and cheap.

The reflectivity of Chrome hardware allows it to blend in better with most light colors - sort of like the Predator effect.

It also reflects light better than black does.

The creme pickups and/or creme rings, however, remind me of those cheap import junkers from the 80s - Hondo, Global, Bentley, etc.

I say chrome OFR but keep the black tuners (looks better on maple). As well, I'd keep the black nut but put on chrome locks. The contrast works great.

Chrome rings might be too much.

Zebra pickups would be nice (black and cream)

Cream and brass reminds me of the late 70's and quality guitars, go figure!

Yeah you can't do brass and would have to go gold, which doesnt work as well imo, so I'd just zebra up the pickups and keep it black.
