  • Look what I found in my closet? WARNING large pics

One is an original unfinished san dimas strathead neck that has never been on a guitar, never been oiled, or had the nut put on it. Notice the nut material. "Got this from Mike Shannon years ago"

The other is a real pre-Fender Jackson woodburn Charvel strathead neck with a few nicks and scrapes, but I put it on my star just to play it, and it is amazing!

    Nice!

For some reason, I thought this was going to be a thread about John Travolta and Tom Cruise, but I stand corrected.... :ROTF:

I have only played one So-Cal for about 5 minutes but it was very accurate to the wood burned neck.

You're missing the joke - there are no post-Fender woodburned necks.

So Pete's been hoarding all the good strathead necks hey?....I was wondering who was doing that......

Nice "finds" Pete, you need to clean out your closets more often. Maybe I should check in mine? I know I've got a nice Model 1 neck in maple/maple that is overdue for a finsh removal/oiling and a Model 4 body somewhere together in a chainsaw case. They'll have their day in the sun sometime.

Pete's not even Oklastrat any more. His new screen name is Twister Amps.

It's coming, Gary, it's coming.....a bit like waiting for the end of the world, but I think I'll beat that.....just...

Actually there are no plans for those two particular parts, I got the M1 neck cause I could, nothing to use it with really and the M4 body, you have the neck and plate for, so I just put them in a spare chainsaw together, less clutter.

The M6 is coming, but now that Snakeskin Jackson is in line for new paint. The original blue under the clear is not salvagable....but that's a pretty simple job once it's stripped.

Sorry to take over Derek, do you have any plans for these parts?
