Hi guys I am a newbie here and was refered to the board.
I see some awesome guitars here. I wish I could find a Charvel that is 2 hum floyd or kahler pointy style head with an ebony fret board. Are these common or just a pip dream for me.

Plenty of them out there.
Pointy head fan myself-the strat headstock styles get more attention so you're in a good spot.

Jackson/Charvel-the Model series (1,1A,2,3,4,etc) are going between 200 to 400 dollars so they are killer bang for the buck. Another good buy is the Japanese lines of Jackson, DK series, Concept, PS series.
Again, not top of the line pro, but good value for the dollar.

Ebony would fall mostly in the USA lines, expect to pay 800 plus. IMO, many of the rosewoods Jackson uses are very smooth.
Close to ebony, but not quite.

Yeah, the rosewood on the model series guitars is pretty dark, not as dark as ebony but still fairly dark. You should look for a model 3, fairly common, and has what you want.
