Mine was humming a good bit when using the bridge pickup and sitting close to the amp and computer. I spend a lot of time in that position while playing (headphones at night) so it was a little irritating.

Looks like you could pop some corn with all that foil!!!

j/k - looks like a nice neat install. I do foil on the pickguard of my Strat to help with static popping noises when my fingers touch the pickguard.

I'm attracted to bright, shiny, even (some would say) gaudy things. It looks like something NASA could be sending in to space, all covered in gold foil.
