I feel my soul go cold... only the dead are smiling.
I've never owned a Tele. But graphics on Teles have just always seemed wrong to me. I guess my mind just does not compute that way. Solids or transparents only, please.
And, yes, the production models would do better with a Tele head.
the US productions would be fantastic with a Tele HS. they would actually sell them, it would more than make up for the cost of the different style wood cut.
as it is with that strat headstock they are like the ugly stepchild to some extent. so when they discontinue it for the Tele HS then all the stepchilds will be collectors items at some point....
the guitar players look damaged - they've been outcasts all their lives
I've got a nice Fender AV52...one of those butterscotch reissues of the original 52. For a single-coil guitar, it's got a nice tone...something I felt I needed after playing my Model 1 exclusively for 15+ years.
Lately I've been thinking about routing out that fine ash body and dropping in a Floyd Rose...but if I did that I think the vintage-style neck will have to go.
I think the tele headstock looks killer on the Jacksons and Charvels.
