Hi all, I'm a big Jackson fan although I've only owned 3 and two of them were pretty low end. I've got a DK2 that I love and a JS30KV that gets the job done. The JS30 has EMG's and a Tusq nut as well as new electronics that actually work.

I'm currently trying to nail down a KV2. I have my sights on it, I just need to unload some gear first. Or get a divorce. I'll see what happens.

Gibson Xplorer Pro. It was put out a few years ago and discontinued. It's got a downsized body and maple top.

It's a 2002 Gibson Explorer Pro '76 Re-issue



They made them between 2002-2004 available in trans amber and trans-black finishes. They were discontinued and brought back without the ebony fingerboard and some of the other fancy details. That guitar was also discontinued last year.

Nope, it's not steep. We're talking Canadian $ too.

It got stepped on! LOL. Too bad, it was a 24fret 24.75" scale neck. I'm building a new fretboard for it. I have it cut, radius'd and slotted. I'm just not ready for fretwork yet (tools are expensive). I was able to fix the maple portion of the neck and the truss rod though...

I have 2 more of those Jackson replacement necks from GuitarFetish.com. The other two have fretboard binding, but the fingerboards are really light in colour. I think I'll dye them black with some black Fiebings dye.

LOL. I don't know dude. I don't want to look up a currency webpage either. The exchange rate is actually pretty high right now, which is no favor for US shoppers buying Canadian products. Just between you and I, I'd take a couple hundred less then my asking price. Shhh!!! Don't quote me in a public forum!

If I can hang the guitar I'm gassing for in the spot where you see that explorer, I'll be one happy camper! I've got my sights on a KV2 Skulls.

Amp-wise I'm totally thrilled with my setup. 6505+ for dirty, JC-120 for clean. Heaven and hell, dude.
