  • Greetings! Newbe here.

Just wanted to introduce myself. My Name is Bob Smith. I worked for Charvel from April of 84 - Feb of 87. Also BC Rich from 87-90, Valley Arts 90-93, ESP, then Tom Anderson 93-2001. If it wasn't for Grover giving me a job I may not have learned how to build guitars. I was 19 when I started work at Charvel. I am now here in Colorado working with Don Grosh Guitars.

    Cheers!
    Bobby

Cool, welcome to the JCF. What kind of work did you do at Charvel?

Welcome to the JCF! I'm sure you've probably worked on a bunch of guitars owned by members here.

I was hired to work in the paint dept originally, but when I showed up for my first day of work they had hired someone else for the same job, so Tim Wilson suggested to Grover to let me work in final assembly. I started working on level and dress fret work, polishing headstocks, and oiling necks, then learned the rest of final assembly.

Welcome to JCF! I'm sure many of us would interested in more of your background, especially pertaining to Charvel.
