Ok, so I was going through some old Musician magazine copies and I came across one with Jeff Beck on the cover. In the 80's he occasionally played an oranage Jackson with a white pickguard that extended from the upper horn the the lower one. Anyone know what model this is? I've seen them before but not too often.

Re: Jeff Beck Orange Jackson
it was a custom soloist, and the charvel spectrums were modeled after it.

Not the same guitar, of course. But the same design. Thanks everyone.

it's probably a refin....it's odd, the pickguard is a bit different, too.... here's mine:
look where the pickguard goes between the neck and middle pickups.. the logo was probably added, as well.

Re: Jeff Beck Orange Jackson
yep.... and if i played bass, i'd have one of those, and a thunderbird. to me, they were the coolest basses. actually, the pickguard is one of my favorite things about the spectrum... and oddly enough, i think that's also what makes it as hated as it is in the charvel community. well, that, along with the fact it's an import... Oh man, I love that guitar. Kick @ss! Recessed Floyd, too? Not too many of those back then. Thanks very much for the pic!
I think I once read a guitar mag article where Elliot said that his Kramer was partly based on JB's Jackson. Not kidding. I'm guessing the interview must've been done after Kramer's downfall.
