Sorry to hear this.
The only good news I can think of is that pawnshops these days typically take the good stuff like your guitars and post them right on eBay, rather than deal with low-ballers on the sales floor. Since these guitars are almost all unique, We'll know if and when they pop up for sale.
My apartment got broken into in the early '90s, and I lost a beautiful Ferrari red San Dimas Soloist, so I feel your pain.

Hope you get your gear back bro. It pays to have the receipts like you do.
I do appraisals all the time for guys and that really helps guarantee they get full price for their gear. I even include instrisic value and add to it if the guitar is considered rare. I've done everything from small collections of just a few to 50+ for local collectors. It's worth the price of a good appraisal to make sure the insurance companies pay off on your collection.
I also advice people to take out a second rider policy on their gear just to make sure its covered. It's usually less than 10 bucks for every 1000 in gear and well worth the while.

I'm trying to stay optimistic.
So here's the breakdown... 8 guitars stolen.
SL1 Black = I have the receipt, hang tag, pictures
PC1 = I have a receipt and hang tag
SL1 Trans Black = I have a hang tag (mattsmusic sent me the invoice but no email has showed up yet)
SL2 = I have pictures. I could get a receipt from Guitar Center, they looked up the S/N for me
DK1 = I have pictures. GC on the southside printed me up a reciept copy which I'm picking up tomorrow
Strat = I have the receipt + pics
CS Charvel = I have the receipt + pics + hang tag
Model '88 = I have pics
Plus: 3 watches (2 Timex cheapies, and a Seiko, all about 20 years old), a laptop, a wooden box with some scarves in it, and a ceramic cup with less than $5 in change in it. The wife thinks a couple of my CD's are missing, too, but I am not sure.
Like I said when I talked to the guy he said he didn't expect I'd have a receipt for a 20-year-old guitar (the '88) and pics would do. I also explained that I only (currently) have a hang tag from the trans black SL1. He seemed cool with it, I guess if you can prove you spent $$ on 3 or 4 guitars indisputably, that it's not a stretch to say you have a few more if you can at least show pics, which I can. So, I'm hoping the guy is as cool Monday as he was today.
Man, I just feel numb. My wife is like "well, you can buy new guitars!" and I just don't really care. It's so hard for me to buy guitars because I'm so... Particular. I was excited that I had a few I really, really liked, and all the work I did to those and pretty much had them how I liked them, and they're gone.
Indy PD hasn't called me back yet... I'm bashing the police, I'm sure this is NOT the most important thing going on in Indianapolis, but I wish they'd call me back soon because the sooner they get the S/N's the sooner they get into the "system" and should red-flag the local pawn shops.
By the way Grandturk, I saw your post. No, they did not take the Mark V. I'm not sure why.
It's really weird what they took, I mean, there was an iPOd on my desk and they threw it on the floor, but the stole a fucking ceramic cup full of change. WTF?
Actually they did leave one guitar... It was in the case under the couch. My Warmoth single-hum I just put together a few weeks back, I'm not even sure if I like it yet, but I guess it's gotta do for now.
By the way, tomorrow is my wife's birthday. So, these fuckers fucked up her fucking birthday, too. She's in no mood to celebrate.

Really sorry to hear about this. Sucks just does not cover it. Maybe get a 'sticky' put at the top of the forum with a list of the guitars and serials?Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

Been there done that.
I got robbed on Thanksgiving night. The guitar was in left in my car overnight and they busted a window out to get it. I was a stupid kid at the time, and didn't call the cops (what could they do?). This was many years ago in the 1990s.
I've thought long and hard about this, and I'm pretty sure it was either a room mate or a friend of a room mate that ripped me off. I'd love to get even, but I imagine they are probably dead from a drug o.d. or in jail.
I wish the best on those fuckers.
Anyway enough of my venting. I'll keep my eyes open in Cinci if I see anything. I watch craigslist and ebay every so often.
oh, and what insurance do you have? I have Allstate, and for a F'ing $1K per year, they'd better cover a theft loss like that.
Sorry for the cussing but the memory of the theft that happened to me 20 years ago still hits a nerve.
