  • My Jackson King V project!

My first thread on this forum...

Well, I decided to make my King V awesome few weeks ago so I gave it a makeover. When i got the guitar a year ago from a friend it was kinda crappy. It had a awful paint job and Duncan designed pickups. This is how it looked:

A friend of mine who is a graffiti artist gave him new paintjob and I put Seymour Duncan's (JB & Jazz) in it. It became a lot better after some neck adjustment and pickups. Here it is with the graffiti paint job. It says "Kill Bon Jovi" on the wings and on the back it was "Screw you guys... I´m going home" and there is a angel under the bridge.

But still, I got bored with the JB tone an decided to change pickups... and paintjob. I made this all by myself. (well, my girlfriend helped out with the paintjob) the paint job and all adjustments. I Bought new pickups, a DiMarzio Evolution set. Wonderful pickups. The guitar will soon also feature locking Sperzel tuners. The neck is quite nice but in my opinion it could be a bit thinner...

    Well, here it is!

My Other Jackson, just for fun

Proffesional Std Jackson Kelly. put Dimarzio X2N in the bridge, plays really nice.

Working on getting a RR guitar. Hopefully getting one in the next few days.

    Other guys I got:

Most likely i'll be trading this one away for the RR I'm getting. Still nice guitar.

It's a 1985 Made in japan Squier. Beats most fenders ive ever tried. Got Dimarzio pickups in all positions. Very versatile guitar.

My Epiphone les paul Custom and a old Charvette. Paint job come-ing soon for that cheapo.

My warlock Bass, ok but nothing special.

Very proud of this one since I made the paintjob and have changed everything in this guitar. It's got DiMarzio Evolution, sperzel tuners, scalloped frets... nothing is orignal exept the body and pickup ring.

this one is quite fucked up. Its called Brownsville The Bat. I made the painjob to make it my "batman" guitar. Its got a nice neck and a Dimarzio Evolution pickup.

    Digging the KV now.
I hooked up my accelerator pedal in my car to my brake lights. I hit the gas, people behind me stop, and I'm gone.

The end version of the King V looks killer.

Also those old MIJ Squiers and Fenders kick major ass.

While the graffiti paint job had some cool elements (The angel in particular I liked.) it definitely looks way better now. The extra splatter up near the neck looked awful and the text didn't look really graffiti as much as fingerpaint.

It looks like a weapon of mass destruction now, so it's all good.

I agree, the final version is major kickass now. Those pickups look awesome in there and those beveled edges look great! Nice job on the final product!!!
