All call to Minneapolis MN JCF members

Hey. I am starting to get tired of playing along to CDs... Are there any JCF members out there who want to get together and work on some tunes? I am not looking to gig or anything; a wife, two kids, and a job that requires travel pretty much rules that out. But I would like to hook up with someone who wants to get together once a week or so to play some Rush, Queensryche, or possibly some originals.

Actually I am in the same boat as you (wife, kids, etc). I'ld be interested, but I only get down to Minneapolis about once a month. I am definately interested. What would probably work better (for me) would be a JCF "SweatFest MN"

I live in Chanhassen, rehearse in downtown Minneapolis on weekends, and usually have a night or two free. I'm not really up on my covers, and am more into writing my own thrash/death-type stuff, but if you're looking for someone to jam with, that'd be cool. I think there's a fair number of Minnesota JCFers -- we should all get together sometime.

That's a great idea. We could get a better idea of what each other's abilities and styles are as well, which might be a good idea. And the "war stories" idea is a good one, too.

Meeting somewhere in the Minneapolis/Eden Prairie area might be a nice central location for us, except for Hamner, unless we could catch him on one of his trips to "the big city".

I live in brooklyn park. There are lot of places that have jams around the cities ( mostly blues R&B or rock ). You have to watch out, coming to them with a pointy guitar.

Would anyone be game for meeting at a bar or something this weekend to put a face to the screen name? Watertower in Eden Prairie is cool; pool, darts, etc.
