  • What's it worth? (Dinky Rev. content inside)

It's a '93 model from what I gather. I have the original pups if that matters? Has a DiMarzio Super 3 in the bridge and a Air Norton in the neck. Damn near mint besides a few spots of buckle rash on the back.
Should I keep her or or sell it?

I'm not too up on import prices, but I'd guess 500 bucks or so. When it comes to keeping it, that's down to how much you use it vs how much you need a few hundred dollars...
Popular is not the same as good
Rare is not the same as valuable
Worth is what someone will pay, not what you want to get

That should be a '94... look at the squared base plate on the tremolo. As far as I'm aware, that's that only year the JT580LP trem was squared off. I had a purple DR like that. I'd keep it.

I guess I'm keeping her then, thanks guys.

Kinda wanted to sell her to fund a US King V purchase tho.

Definitely keep it. I've never seen that color finish on one of these before. It looks killer. I had a dark blue Dinky Reverse that I later painted white, changed to a hard tail, chrome hardware, and white Seymour Duncans. It looked really cool. Ended up selling it because I wasn't playing it much anymore.

I'd really like to change this one to a hard tail but I don't want to ruin the finish.

Yeah, definitely do NOT do that. That finish is beautiful. You can always install a tremel-no or whatever it's called to lock the bridge in place.

Part it out. You'll make more off of it that way. I'd take the body off your hands if you decide to go that route.

I don't know about you guys but I had a Dinky EX from this era and that was a fantastic guitar as well!

The Pro series comes in for some flak every so often but I think they were very well made guitars.
