I bought this Jackson DKMGT body as a project guitar, with it always in mind to paint it.
I have never been crazy about the burst that is on it now, and am not in love with the flame veneer, so a new paint job was in order. I bought a neck for it, and haven't done anything else with it in the last two years.
So, now it is time to fish or cut bait. I own a printing shop, and am doing some work for a car pinstripe guy. I think he also has the gear to spray a base coat.
So I am thinking about asking him if he will work a trade for the printing I am doing, and will spray a new base coat, and then add some custom pinstripes. I am thinking either flat black and red and gold stripes and a matte finish, or heavy metal flake black with with the same color stripes and a gloss finish.
I either need to get this done, or it is going in the classifieds here (the body and the neck).
What do you think? Also, any suggestions on different color/stripe combos?
