  • Jackosn Star Guitars.....How many???

I was reading thru some old posts when I came to one that was discussing Jackson Star Guitars(like the King Kobra stuff), and the implication was that there were only those two as Jackson Star guitars. I know that there has been more than that, but how many more????

Note, we are NOT talking about Charvel Star guitars, just Jackson Stars guitars:idea:Any ideas on amounts, and were they common, or rare????

    G-out...........

That's hard to say as all of them would be Custom Shop models.

I've seen about 10 total, probably the same one more than once.

I used to have this one. I did get the neck back not too long ago.

Someone here has a Budweiser Strathead Jackson based on Chris Holmes'.

I've seen Chris Holmes' Harley Star here years ago.

Someone here has/had a black neckthrough with a reverse headstock and white binding IIRC.

Off the top of my head I can think of a few:

              - Chris Holmes had three Jackson Stars (Bud, bloodsplatter and Harley)
              - There is a replica of the Bud star (AlZ has that, plus the original Splatter and the Harley)
              - Giger Star from the catalogues
              - Toru's old black / white binding
              - Several trans blue swirls
              - Jani's trans cherry mahogany
              - Jani's old black one
              - Jani's old blue h/s 24 fret
              - Trans honey maple top
              - NAMM burst maple top (korina?)
              - Natural Korina
              - Rob Cavestany from Death Angel had two neck thrus - black with white and white with black. And there's a replica of at least one of those...

The OP seems to be talking about the pointy Star, King Kobra style, like Brad has (XXX) - not the rounded Stars that Newc & neilli are mentioning. If so, it is true that they are fairly rare, I've only seen Brad's (in person and in pics) and one other.

Ah right - yeah, there's not too many of those. I was initially thinking the Oz Fox pointy Explorer was the same, but nope...

So, all the Jackson Stars were neck-thru, and there wasn't any Bolt-ons that may have been custom ordered, were there:think:???

I think you need to make the distinction between the Star and the Pointy Star. There's been a decent number of bolt-on regular stars, but I'm not sure if there are any bolt-on Pointy Stars...

---------You might be right, but I thought the majority of the Jacksons would be the pointy star:thinko you have a available picture of both versions?
