  • Help IDing a Jackson pickup

I have a USA made Jackson pickup (black pole pieces coming out of the back of the pickup, Jackson sticker with MADE IN U.S.A. on it) with no Jackson logo on the face (so it probably had a cover on it that is now missing). The back has a sticker on it that says:

    Model 2
    Bridge

:It has a resistance of 15.8 kΩ. Does anyone have a way of IDing what the pickup is? I ask because I now have a second pickup with everything identical to the above except it is 8 kΩ. Anyone know a way to ID them (I realize by their resistance they have to be one of a few models, but I'm looking for a methodology to identify them).

    It should be a J-90C.

So both the 8.0 kΩ and 15.8 kΩ pickups are J-90Cs?

the 8k one is probably a J50, though 8k does sound a bit low ever for a J50.

I guess the confusion the OP is having, is why there are different two Model 2 bridge pickups.

Could one be damaged? 1/2 coil functioning?

Did they switch pickups in certain years?

I must have misread that part. Chances are that the pup isnt working correctly, possibly a bad or shorting coil.
