I've been a Dean guy myself, but Dean just doesn't have what I want in a strat type guitar. Your own buddy guitarforceone has influenced me to come over here for satisfaction in this regard. So I'll be checking around here and learning about the J/C scene. Who knows, maybe I'll join y'all in more ways than posting here!
I wonder if the purchase by Fender will put an end to set-neck, strat type guitars? Fender hasn't shown interest in such guitars, which is why I'm here (no bolt-on guitars for me). I'm in the market for a Charvel Model 6 and I'm also a tightwad, so I probably won't have a lot of luck. Imports are fine with me, as I don't care to pay inflated US labor rates (I don't mind getting paid inflated US labor rates, though )
