Neck plate number question

On ebay recently i saw a supposed san dimas neck plate with the serial number 6922. I was curious as to weather or not it was a real san dimas and what year that serial number would make it. Thanks [img]images/icons/smile.gif[/img]

Supposed? With the SD PO box cast into it? Ain't to supposed.

I'm assuming you mean a Jackson plate, yes?

It would most likely be an 88 - 89.

Its tough to pinpoint the exact year on those cause they weren't used in any strict order, but you can get a ballpark area of use.

In late 1987, myself and a friend ordered Jackson strats on the same day. They arrived about 1 week apart, my serial # was 3XXX, and his was 6XXX. [img]graemlins/scratchhead.gif[/img]
