  • Jackson Pro 3?

I have a Jackson body that I am not sure what model it is. It has a H/S/S config and a beveled lower bout similar to the old Fusions. It is stamped PRO-3 in the neck pocket.

Any ideas what this is, what wood it could be?

+3. The switch between the knobs is for the JE-1500 wah.

Well that's kind of what I thought just by the looks and the deep cutaway on the lower bout. The thing that throws me is the "Pro 3" stamp. My other Fusions have a "FU-XX" stamp in the neck pocket. Any idea what wood it is? Basswood (Japan) Poplar (USA)?

The scalloped lower horn alone is not very significative of a Fusion though. There are Fusions that don't have it, as well as plenty of Dinkies that do have it.

The 1992 catalog states Basswood for the Fusion Pro. Looks like it in the pics as well. I would have expected Poplar to be more greenish and I think Alder would have had a bolder grain(?).
