    Good afternoon people!

I just wanted to chime in with an update. I just got home from my luthier and we worked some, "well, he did", magic on this middle position pickup.

He unscrewed the pickup to find 2 rubber thingies that I guess acted as a foam from touching the bottom. After ripping these off, everything should be well and good, but it wasnt. The reason being is that the pickup wires all run right under the pickup, and there was no canal for the wires in the body, so even if you took out the rubber, only one side would go down a nice amount, but the high side wouldnt go anywhere because of the wires in between the pickup and the body.

Well, I trust him, and he has been doing my guitars for a very long time, so he suggested that we route a little notch in the body right under were the wires would be, and then the wires can sit in that little routing and the pickup can go down quite a bit.

About a half hour later, big time success! The routing was perfect, the cables sat snuggly in the new routing, right under the pickup, and the pickup was able to now get lowered a very considerable amount, and is now not in the way.

I am happy as hell, and to the above that say they have the same problem, this is a wonderful fix, if you didnt know this already, "As I am usually late to the party with information!" On top of that, He blocked the trem for me so its only divebombs, which I prefer, and dropped a tiny shim under the nut, as my A string was buzzing a bit, and a regular setup did not cure that, but the shim did.

So all in all, I am a happy camper, and this thing is now a proper Soloist!

    Thanks for reading!!
