• This month's Guitar World

Might be old news seeing everyone here is connected, but if you haven't read Mustaine's article, I highly suggest you do so. He mentions he tried to buy Jackson 2-3 times before, which was interesting. Although an awsome concept, I don't think he'd have the money or resources to do the job Fender is doing with Jackson, marketing wise anyway.

I never even bother to flip thru Nu Metal World, er, sorry, Guitar World, but that sounds like an interesting read. Weird stuff, man. Who knew? I think I'll check it out. Thanx for the info.

Dave doesn't have the money to buy Cort, much less Jackson.

I've heard about that a while ago and the price i heard really wasnt all that much. As far as cort, cort is prolly worth more than jackson since they make alot of the imports for so many companys.

Pick up this month's issue. It's got an awsome article on Clash Of The Titans tour in the 80's with Metallica, Slayer, Testament and Anthrax. I hate being so young. I would have given my left nut to see a show that great. They also have an article with Zakk Wylde and Jason Newstead on the direction of Ozzy's band, what the new record will sound like. How is all that Jackson related... I just never heard of the Mustaine buying Jackson thing, and Scott Ian has his own sig Jackson, lol. Just Bsin it now to keep this Jackson related. Great issue though this month, check it out

Clash of the Titans was a Megadeth, Anthrax & Slayer co-headlining tour in 1990-1991. Alice in Chains opened. I was there, dude. The tour went to Europe also and there was a minor change (Slayer, Megadeth, Testament, Suicidal). Somebody has the facts wrong, either you or the magazine! There were different versions of that tour. The one I caught in Calgary was Judas Priest, Megadeth and Testament. Metallica was never a part of in though.

There have been different incarnations of this tour. The first one (I could be wrong) was around 88(?)and was Slayer, Venom, and Exodus.

I saw COT at the Cow Palace in SF.

Alice In Chains: missed their performance
Slayer: KILLER
Anthrax: greatest hits song list, great performance
Megadeth: CRAP for tone. Everyone sounded decent but when Mustaine's guitar kicked in, it had ZERO mids and poo poo tone. Maybe there were too many coke and heroin bags in front of his speakers.

I went to the one in '91 in NYC at Madison Square Garden. Alice In Chains, Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer! What a killer show!!! I've still got the tour booklet, too!
