Hey all I'm a real newbie here. Don't know why I never found this forum before. I've got a guitar that I picked up in a pawn shop about 15 years ago. It is a strat style all origional(as far as I know /it looks correct) reverse headstock Charvel, cursive Charvel logo with one single and one humbucker, one volume and a 5 way switch. It has a firecrackel finish Orange red black background. According to IMC, (they owned Charvel at time I bought this) they told me it was a Predator with firecrackel finish I can't remember the year they told me but I believe it was 88 or 89. In or around 2004 I posted a similar question on a couple other sites(those posts are still viewable) never got really any good information. Looking back at some Charvel cataloges I found online I never have seen anything about this paint scheme. The blue book listed it as a color option but thats not much to go on. I have been told the firecrackel finish was a very limited run no 2 looked identical(the firecrackel) . Looking on the web for pictures never seen one like it(color) paint scheme yes 2. The serial is 323242 and it has a Ft. Worth neckplate. I kinda just would like to know more info. The guitar sounds great and feels like other Charvels I have played. It's not for sale

cant see all the pictures
Help! The only picture I can see is the one posted by Spivonious (hope I spelled that right) The rest have the red x. I now have a new question. What is the origional bridge pickup supposed to be, a closed face Jackson JC90. If I'm rembering right the pawnshop guy told me when I bought mine that the bridge pickup had been replaced with a Seymour Duncan shreader or full shread. So I replaced the Duncan with a Jackson JC90 that I was told came from an 1987 or 1988 Charvel I can't remember the model. I still have the Duncan. When I removed the Duncan I saw evidence of holes from the oversize JC90 which lined up with the JC90 I put in it. And the solder on the 5 way looked like I hate to say it by someone who doesn't solder much. But I now recently have seen 2 Predators on this site with Duncans. But no one has said if they're origional or not. Thanx for all the replies so quick.
