  • Charvel 625c Acoustic?

Didn't know they made them. Is this legit and worth the asking price?

Korean made, gorgeous-looking guitars- I had serious wood over the 12-string version when they first came out, but never could find one to try out. I don't think they reviewed well or sold well back then, but most harmonycentral reviewers speak decently of theirs nowadays.

On ebay they are going in the $200 to $250 range. (there's a black one starting at $99 on there right now) It seems your seller may be asking a bit on the high side, but you may be able to talk him down to a reasonable price, or just grab one off ebay to try out, and re-sell it if you don't like it.

Thanks SD--looks like few people on the JCF have had a chance to try one. Maybe I'll look it up on ebay.

I actually owned one for a while. It was single cutaway and the frets didnt reach into the sound hole like that one. It was decent and it said Charvel on it, I gave it up cause I had really no need for an acoustic(bought it cause it said Charvel).

I have one. Got it for $85 on ebay pbly 7 years ago. It's no world-class instrument, but it plays fine. It still has the same strings as when I got it. The fretboard extension looks cool.

I thought the fact that I have two of them would give you some indication of that.

They're good guitars. Pretty solid acoustics, especially for being almost 20 years old.

I have one in natural with the fretboard extension. I like it and it plays fairly well for a mid-90s Korean made instrument (when they weren't exactly producing stellar results like thay have in the last 5-10 years). Compared to my Washburn D-10 and Wechter Pathfinder I'd say it falls short but both are much more expensive acoustics.

I own one. Price is a little high as had been mentioned, but it is a solid acoustic guitar. Great value....you can't go wrong really at a decent price.
