    Hmm...
For $275, I could live with that unless it's a structural issue.

Can you point out where you were told this? This is the 2nd time I've heard this (maybe the first time was from you) in the last week. Prior to this I had never heard it.

Been smokin' too much dickweed ; )
I know the old saying that the value of an opinion is generally inversely proportional to the strength with which it is held.

Yeah it was him, describing his Rhoads Performer:

I guess they had to do something with all of the stacks of extra bolt-on Rhoads bodies piling up at the Custom Shop.

The Performer series Rhoads was bolt-on, but his pic shows a neck-thru. When did they make one of those in the Performer series?

Ahhh, I didn't scroll down. He must have Pro & Performer mixed up. Either way, I'm with Tekky.

I have no idea where the old post is. its been like eight years. Mine does say professional on the headstock, not performer. I will see if I can track it down.

well that was easy enough, but I guess my memory between now and 2002 is a little foggy. They second post guy says "In 1993 the pro quality was on par with the USA custom shop. the story goes that it was taking sales from the USA custom shop". So ummm, oops. =-D

However I do seem to remember something being said somewhere at the time that sn#3000 and lower were somehow better or made differently. I suspect that it is in that post that the second guy links where is is working on the pro that is very close to my sn# but its not available to view anymore.

The pickup (assuming it is a Duncan, can't see the S logo on the coils) is either a Iommi or a Diablo.
                      More than likely a Diablo.
