Ok, so the Star is getting the Chris Holmes BloodBath with matching head
Now I've got a few others I'm planning to have redone, and ask your opinions:
First up, I have a early 90's Soloist Pro that will be refinished - here's a few ideas I had:
-Glow in the Dark Bela Lugosi (painted pickups)
-NY skyline showing Lady Liberty, a few buildings, the Brooklyn Bridge, and the Twin Towers like they used to be, but have the windows and street lights and the torch done in Glow In The Dark paint, and the Towers would be trimmed/lightly glazed in GITD paint, so that when you viewed it in the dark, all you'd see is a ghostly image of the towers, not the windows in full detail.
I also thought about doing the same skyline without the visible towers, but you would see their ghosts in the dark. Too bad ya can't do colored GITD - I'd like to have the Empire lit up in Red White and Blue
-Refin gloss black, throw on gold hardware, and have a PCS-style Soloist Pro (maybe have it routed for 3 hums, using Gibson-style gold covered pickups).
-Or pick something from the Dealer Graphics Album ( http://autumn-frost.com/album )
Firebird Pro:
-I did have an idea to have it refinished in white with a pencilsketch of Robbin Crosby ala the Pencilsketch Rhoads, but I know me, and I'd be too tempted to put it on Ebay and try to get $2500 for it (and piss a lot of people off in the process). Sully suggested doing it and giving the proceeds to Robbin's charity, but having that graphic done is more green than I care to part with for a charity auction. So that idea is toast. On top of that, there's the issue of finding a good royalty-free image of him to use.
-There's a coupla interesting ones in the Graphics Album - namely the 95th Fighter Intercept Squadron. Maybe the Metal Bird graphic?
-I also had a wild idea a while back about doing a poster my brother made for Mardi Gras of a Harlequin in a patchwork leotard/mask/jester hat in purple, green, and gold, and surrounded by confetti and streamers and doubloons and beadstrings, but have GMW do the colors in Flip-Flop so they all shift between those three colors. The Firebird and an Explorer are the only two with enough body area to really do that kinda graphic any justice. A Kelly might work as well.
I've got a Professional-series Roswell that is just blah-black, and thought about doing maybe an Alien Warbird-type thing (Grey Alien in a see-through nighty, etc) or maybe a Stryper graphic?
I would say Flames of some sort, but I'll have 3 already including the JSX, King V, and DK2.
