You'd be surprised. I thought the samething about the EVH Frankenstein guitars selling for over $30k and to my surprise they sold everyone of them. Somebody will buy them it just won't be me! HA HA!
I'm a guitar freak...way more than an amps/effects guy...I really see the art in a guitar...not just musically...but its design, how it's made, etc. So if I had enough cash to spend 10-20K on a guitar, I could easily see myself picking one of these Concordes up...for two reasons...I worship Randy and the work he did in his wayyyyy too short career....and I love the guitar itself. I don't currently own a V style guitar (or a Star/Explorer style guitars for that matter). Ironically, I'm a strat body guitar guy...as a player. And I definitely consider Charvels/Strats to be my favorite playing guitars. But as an admirer, I don't think there has ever been a guitar created that had such an affect on my senses as that original Rhoads V. I just could never justify spending massive amounts of money on a guitar with cigarette burns and empty pickup cavities in it (and cheesy 80s DYI graphics )...no matter who played it. But Randy's white V...absolutely. That's a class instrument! Of course, if I did pick this thing up...I'd probably have to kill my wife...before she killed me.
Dammit...Why didn't I marry rich?!?
