Thanks everyone. Like Doc said - it's not done. But it's up. More will be coming.

What happened to Mr. Scary? It now plays as background music to the slideshow of Doc's George Lynch pictures that just went up.

Is Javascript enabled on your PC? The "this page was last modified" is a simple Javascript that should work on any relatively modern browser. All the pages would have todays date on them as I modified them all today before uploading them - time should vary slightly. Also - what browser (version included) are you using if you don't mind me asking? Anyone else experiencing this?

The mouse hovering over a pic for a description, is just an "alt" tag on the image. Nothing fancy. It should display a text description of the image either where the mouse is or in the status bar. Some browsers only display the text in place of the image - until the image loads.

The copyright date is 2002 because that's when the brunt of the web code was written. It just hasn't been "live".

With the grammatical errors - please send doc an e-mail with them, and he will let me know what to fix.

          Thanks for the feedback.

Oh - you saw Dave Blubek (Molly Hatchett) jam 3 sets at a local florida bar. I take it you're near St. Pete (Gulfport)?

hey vic, the forum, and the rest of the site is called a hypersite. it's a very easy way to make your own site...and it's all web based, so you can work on it from any pc. hypersites is run by a friend of mine (he designed the whole thing), and it's all incredibly easy to use. shameless plug: "go to www.hypersites.com and see for yourself!" Spiderman,

I rechecked Doc's site on both computers with sort of interesting results:

Macintosh - Internet Explorer (latest release) Java enabled - "This page last modified" shows the current date and time. When I refreshed the page, the time changed to the current time, I even waited till past midnight to triple check and yes, the date changed also.

PC - Internet Explorer (latest release) Java enabled - same as above

Macintosh - Netscape Communicator (old version4.5) Java enabled
"This page last modified" shows Jan 1 00:00:00 1970

PC - Mozilla (latest build) Java enabled - same as above.

It might be interesting to note that Netscape and Mozilla are distant cousins and very similar. I have no answers for you as to why this is happening, I'm just one of those finiky (read anal) guys who notices when stuff isn't right (a real pain when learning to play something new, or finding JUST the right sound - lol). Perhaps your Java applet sees each page view as an update and that particular applet just don't like Netscape and it's kin?

Anyway, you did a great job on the site. Is it all your doing? The graphics are superb, the intro is unique and has class, navigation is simple and understandable, colors work, and generally it is a first rate creation that projects a professionality that Doc surely deserves. (have I used enough adjectives for Doc to comp me the snakeskin Jackson?) You did good kid!

                          Spiderman,

I forgot to post one other observation. On the mouse hovering over the pics and displaying a description; It DOES work on IE on both platforms, but does NOT work on Netscape or Mozilla (just the target URL in the status bar). Maybe that's why Bill Gates is top of the list in Forbes (but does HE thrash? I think not - give me a Charvel over stock options any day).

Noticed the new Lynch page. Nice use of the transition effects in your toolbox. I don't think I would have done them as random, some effects lend themselves better to certain pics, but that's just me. Took me back to my HyperCard programming days (early mid nineties - when the web was young)... When I did web design, I ran into inconsistancies between browsers, platforms, operating systems and even just days where it rained. Another one of life's mysteries...

I'm in Stuart, Florida. Dave Hlubek played in a local club here, Rookies, and it seems he jams with this band (Mach 5) often. I did a google search and found a few guys who run fan sites who are drooling over the pics I took. He played the guitarist's Strat through a Peavey Ultra 212 amp mic'ed thru the PA. Of course I had to shoot the Peavey just so I could see what the settings were. BTW, he had an interesting slide, closed and rounded at one end with a skull & crossbones logo on it, sort of like a thrash pedal steel slide (pics of it, too). His gut drooped over his belt and covered part of his jeans. Is that good livin' or is it just sloppy fat? lol Anyway HE ROCKED THE JOINT.

I'm a new guitar player (learner) and lucked out by getting a Charvel 1A. Since finding JCF Online, everytime I notice a guitar, especially a Strat, I think to myself 'another Charvel wannabe'. This is a great forum and even though I mostly lurk and observe, it's like I'm a member of a great family (dysfunctional as it is - lol). Thanks to all...

                          enuf for now...

While I'n on a roll, we gotta give our props to Sully - great site. Maybe it's me, but this site is like sitting in my favorite lazy-boy recliner. What a comfortable feeling from minute one. Even though we realize it's a work in progress, the man has a way of letting us know we are in the right place at the right time.

Technically, I found nothing wrong here - any and all questions were almost automatically answered for me. The graphic layout made me want to hang out, the navigation was effortless and before I knew it - I clicked it as a Favorite.

One thing though. Try as I did, I could not figure how to log in or register as a member. Maybe that's why most posts were 'anonymous'. I have been known to have brain farts, but even on a return visit, I was stumped. Is it invitation only Sully?

Anyway, good job. I'm sure that your friends and admirers will flock to it and keep you busy filling orders. Just make sure you put aside some time to pick up a pick.

Like that guy who used to hang out with Pigpen once said, "What a long, strange trip it's been".
