  • Sam Ash dropping Jackson

I was told by a Sam Ash guitar manager the other day they were dropping Jackson across all of their stores. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I hardly ever see quality USA Jacksons in my local stores anyway but could this be the beginning of the end?

Im guessing its the other way around? Samash hasnt been stocking too many Jacksons or Charvels for years.. I have yet to even see a promod at any of the 3 samash's around here

Charvels are only available at select Sam Ash stores and Sam Ash Direct.

I've been noticing this with Guitar Center as well. I went on a month ago, no Jackson's or ESP's, check today, and still none.

There have been few if any Jackson guitars at my local GC over the past year.

The kiddies want ESPee LTD's, so that's what they stock. :dunno:

Yep, every time I go to GC or Sam Ash, which isn't very often, I see fewer and fewer Jacksons and more and more junky cheap guitars.

I did go to the Sam Ash at Ontario Mills mall about a year ago (or less) and they had at least a dozen Charvel Pro Mods. They took up a whole wall section and it looked really cool.

Heard the Sam Ash was dropping the Jackson line about 6 months ago from Sam Ash manager. Not sure if it is true or not.

I went to the GC & SA in Richmond (they were side by side... ha!) and GC had only 1 Jackson, which was a Crimson swirl RR3. They had this real kick ass Jackson sign hanging up and asked some douche there if he'd sell it to me being that they only had 1 Jackson. Of course he said no...

Then I trotted to SA and they had 3 Jacksons, all were used bolt on kelly's. I was kinda disappointed with that trip, then again I was dropping off my KV4 to the local shop to have the frets leveled & dressed so I didn't go up there to browse their wide selection.

Is there any other brand of guitar...?

These rumors seem to get kicked up every so often.

until recently GC never sold esp ltds don't think that hurt their sales. I guess they had to wait until they were made in china.
