Well...I think I'll try a lot of DK2Ms and save 521 bucks...maybe for a pickup, new CTS pots and new caps
I asked if stock pickups have 4 conductors because i'll put some push/pull pots and i don't wanna buy a new couple of Seymour Duncans!

I think the Japanese DK2 series is one of the best bang for your buck guitars that Jackson makes.

That said, if you played the SL2H right afterwards, you'd definitely notice the upgrades in parts and feel in the neck.

I'm thinking about getting a new Jackson Dinky DK2M (620€=806$) or a used SL2H in Amber Sunburst (1000/1200€=1400/1600$).

          Is Soloist's higher price worth?
Is the Dinky a good guitar? (and...does she mounts 4 conductor pickups?)

          Which would be your choice?
I owned both guitars. The soloist was a far superior instrument, but I wasn't happy with the JB and instead of changing it and devaluing it on resale, I sold it and bought a DK1. As for the DK2M, nice guitar for the money, the licensed trem is cheap though, the neck was just OK. You do get what you pay for, for a low-mid end guitar the DK2M is quite good but the soloist is high quality from tip to bottom. If you are on a tight budget get the DK2M until you can afford a soloist.

I think i could afford the SL2H. It costs 500€ (658$) more than the DK2M...if the soloist is a really far better guitar than the Dinky i'll try to save up for the used Soloist one...

Yes, it's a far better guitar. Buy the Soloist, then just put in a pickup that you like.

Dudes, what's the name of this finish?

Never seen one like this, in Italy. But i love it. Is it a limited run?
(plus, drumcity doesn't whip to Italy )

That's October Pearl. I remember seeing a couple of those last year, and I think they're only available on the DK2.

                          Hi Glenn
As a new SL2H owner I`d say Usa all the way.The through neck twin humbucker set up would be a great match for the axes you already have. Why compromise on quality?Get the best you can afford!

                            Thanks, moretone.
I'll save up and I'll try the used SL2H...A SL2H for 1100€ it's a great deal, here in Italy.
