The custom shop would probably be happy to do one up like that, but it would cost $$$$$.

That was reproduced as the LTD model. Not sure how many were made, and I think they said they won't make them exactly like that again, IIRC?

Yes, the Jackson Custom Shop cannot make you an "LTD" Randy Rhoads guitar anymore. If you want one, you'll have to find one of the 200 Limited Edition models made in 1992. They usually go for $3000 plus.

do you think they would make it like a RR1 type that has everything exact like the ltd with the 4 control knobs and the vintage tremelo and the side toglle switch and stuff but with the RR1 body?

Absolutely. And they'd probably do the body of the original Rhoads too. Perhaps a slight modification in some way, shape, or form to keep it from being a duplicate of the LTD. There weren't many of those with the vintage trem anyway, most were Schaller Floyds.

Last I heard was they can't do the LTD's exactly like the original series as a personal promise. I believe they can make the exact LTD, but it has to be a string-thru version and no more vintage trems or Floyds (to the best of my knowledge).

I'm just curious as to why they can't make them. Just what exactly is stopping them? I also ask the same question for other guitars they refuse to make that they should be able to.
