  • What is the name of this finish?

It looks kind of like coral reef, but I don't think it is.

Kinda looks like Coral Sea (though, I thought that was lighter in color). Or maybe Eerie Dess without the swirl?

I just searched for coral sea and found a reference to eerie dress being made in the early years without the swirl (http://www.jcfonline.com/threads/762...ighlight=coral)), pictures not working for me though.

When did they start doing the swirl? This ones a custom 1989 Ontario Soloist.

No clue when it was first done. I just remember seeing a few through the years.

Does the headstock match the body, or is it black? Cool finish.

Yeah, probably a marblizer. I remember Ken had a red marlizer on a Death Warrior, and there were a couple Stars done with blue marblizer that were similar.

Joe, were those factory finishes or refins?

Factory. Well, they were on later custom shop models, but not sure if they called them marblizer early on.
