So i answer the door today and the ups driver has a box in his hands and says looks like a guitar to me i reply i havent ordered any guitars lately but i sign for it and open it and to my suprise my older brother bought me the Crossed Swords guitar for my B Day i had no clue it has been my dream guitar for years Still in shock
ill post pictures tomorrow when its light out

my bro has never done anything like that for me, BUT, i did something similar for him. as his first marriage was falling apart he need money and sold his 1963 fender showman rig....all original head and cab (with the 15" speaker and the sound rings)....and his 60's fender tube reverb unit. BTW - my brother plays rockabilly and surf-guitar....which is why this story is about fenders not boogies, haha.

so, 3-4 years later, i am poking through a local guitar shop that just opened, and i see a rig similar to my brother's sitting on the floor. the WHOLE rig. i ask the proprietor where he got it. he told me it found it at a pawn shop that was going out of business. i called my wife, had her pull up the insurance info on gear (serial #'s, etc.) and, sure enough, the numbers matched those of my bro's rig.

seeing his face on christmas morning that year was priceless.
