  • Dating my Jackson PC1

Hi there... I'm new here... I just bought my 2nd Jackson PC1. I'm trying to figure out when it was made. I checked out the page on Jacksonguitars.com to show you how to date your Jackson PC1, but it only goes to 2001.

I also called Fender to if they could date the guitar. They didn't know...

    The serial number is :
    005356

It has the older headstock, not the newer Fender headstock.

Can anyone please help with this? Thanks!!!

hmm not sure. I have a PC1 with a 0049xx range serial number, koa back and 2 knobs that is a 1997. So yours might be a 97/98. Do you have three knobs or 2 on your PC1? Is the body koa or mahogany? Those may help narrow down the exact year

The only good thing about dating guitars is that they don't leave a wet spot. Kaching!

it has 3 knobs on it... that leads me to believe that it's at least a 2001 or 2002? not sure about the wood.

yeah if it has 3 knobs, its probably 2001 or newer and those have mahogany bodies. Post pics! I love seeing PC1's

i had SN 5000, and it was a 2 knob, mahogany 1999 PC-1. i have a PC-1 with the SN close to yours (a few numbers earlier) and it is a 3 knob, mahogany PC-1 built in 2001.

I have 005792 and it was made in Nov of 2004.
So a good guess would put yours at roughly 2003-2004 time frame.
