  • Early Jackson Charvel Fusion!? Need Help ASAP!!

Hi, recently I've been getting really into early Professional Jackson's from 1990-1995, and I found one online I'm very interested in but it has thrown me for a loop, and I am confused. It has the characteristics of a Jackson Fusion Pro, but a Charvel neck plate...
The Neck Plate says Charvel with serial # 319141, but the Headstock says Jackson Professional.
I have a fusion soloist pro, and it looks exactly like it, except for the Charvel neck-plate and serial number.
It's bolt on, silver sparkle body, 24 frets, floyd, shark-fin inlay, one humbucker and 2 single coil pickups, and what's really bizarre is it has 3 knobs, which I haven't seen on any Fusion.
I heard it might be a 88-89' Charvel Fusion Custom, but then why would the headstock say Jackson?
    Help!
I need to know what it is ASAP so I know if it's worth the money.
    Thanks

    It's obviously a parts guitar.
And there is no such thing as a Fusion Soloist Pro.
A Fusion is a bolt on and a Soloist is a neckthru.

Ya, I'd stay clear of this. There's always the risk that it's a parts mutt with mixed up scale length, making it impossible to intonate. Fusions are 24.75" scale, while most other Jacksons are 25.5" scale.

Did you measure the neck to see if it's a short scale? Jackson Dinky necks have ebony and shackfins but are regular scale.

It is definitely a mutt, so be careful. Make sure it plays in tune up and down the neck before sinking cash into it.

FWIW, I bought a Jackson PRO Fusion neck that was bolted up to a PS6T Kelly body for my second Jackson, and it intonated fine. So my unconfirmed rule of thumb is 22 fret guitars work with 22 fret bodies, and 24 fret guitars work with 24 fret bodies.
