• Jackson "holy grail"?

What's the "holy grail" of Jackson guitars? I've heard it could be a Roswell Rhoads, a Death Angel, the Gargoyle/pencilsketch Soloist... I know a "holy grail" is going to be different for different people, but what's the general consensus amongst Jackson players to be the Jackson "holy grail"?

Or, post your own if you have a differing opinion.

Re: Jackson "holy grail"?

Based on rarity, I'd guess the most desirable Jacksons would be the Chris Holmes Stars, Robbin Crosby's Double Rhoads', the Vinnie Vincent V, and the Zoraxe
I would say the original Phil Collen models, but Brooks has those all the time - no one can afford them, though

I kind of like the look of the very early Kelly's. Back when they were a little larger. However, I believe the Jackson "Holy Grail" would have to be Randy's white V.

Holy grail for Jackson should be Randy's V .. that's what brought the Jackson name to the forefront ..
Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

I agree Randys guitars in first place, Firebirds in second.

My Jackson grail is a 80's soloist or a Shannon Soloist. OH that protype "jizzmaster" on Kevin Easton's site is badass.

Yes, RR's guitars all the way, but since you can't get those, it would have to be an LTD V trem.

I'd say the original Kellys made just like Kelly's custom order, and the Vergat V's......And yeah, those aluminum Roswells.....

Re: Jackson "holy grail"?

I would have to say that the true Jackson Holy Grail should be a guitar that is actually attainable. Therefore my choices are: the original Kelly with the cutouts and the Tommy Gun guitars. Vinny Vincent V's as an alternate.

My Soloist grail would be an '84 Custom (the 3 piece neck era) with H/S/S EMG's (factory) with Floyd Rose with gold and brass hardware in transparent cherry or dark metallic red.
