Well went down to kelowna to try out some USA Jacksons, they had a DK1, and a SL2H in eerie dess, and siad they had another sl2 coming in pile o skulls. I tried both the dk1 and the SL2 through a fender super reverb it was an older model, so no distorsion. I thought the SL2H blew the DK-1 out of the water, the notes just seem to jump off the fret board, and it played so easily, I really liked the EMG's in the DK-1 although the 81 did sound thin, but the 85 was like [img]graemlins/drool2.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/drool2.gif[/img] . I could not believe how easy it was to reach the 24th fret, i play an epi lp custom i can barely reach the 19th! the neck was flawless and perfectthickness, and it played fast to, the volume and tone knobs roll off nice and smooth. Well I know what Im ordering SL2H mah trans black. the DK1 was 2495$ the SL2H was 2550$ So not bad considering up in canada. just gotta save up.

I have played both also, and to me the SL2H wins hands down and I also think the 81 sounds kinda thin, I like the 85 in the bridge better [img]images/icons/grin.gif[/img] So picture an SL2H with an 85 in the bridge, and whatever you like in the neck and their you go, the ultimate SL2H for you [img]graemlins/toast.gif[/img] Jack.
