I'm not sure about DiMarzio offhand, but Duncan will build a pickup with custom specs for anyone. You want a JB with tighter bass, etc, just call them up and tell them exactly what you're looking for.

Even worse is how people spend so much on the way to get there (referring to yers truly here)lol2

Yeah, you should see my pedal graveyard. And the rack mount graveyard from before that. At least I decided to stick with the Marshall TSL for now and see what difference the pickup makes.

I've narrowed it down to a Suhr Doug Aldrich, some kind of Bare Knuckle, and I'm going to listen to the DiMarzio clips before I decide. I ruled out Seymour Duncan and WRC (WCR?) due to seriously lame sound clips on their sites! Fusion jazz is nice, but not a very effective demo for metal pickups!

I read somewhere on HC that there is a new pup coming out that is a better PK. Anyone know the name?

                It's called " The Aftermath"

My brother is ordering me one for xmas, we've got it worked out. All of the adults in our family buy each other a gift (The young children still get the usual truckload of gifts from their parents, but it's a family tradition for the adults to buy each other something. We draw from a hat!), so I handed him a piece of paper with the options I wanted and told him to give me it on xmas!

I'll tell you all when I get it!

I'm loving the Dimarzio Super Distortion in my Rhoads Pro.

                            It is a great pickup.

I guess buying Bareknuckle pickups has almost "indoctrinated" me into the intricacies of pickups. I loved dimarzios and SDs, but Bareknuckle pickups were just a whole new world in terms of tone. I can't go back to Dimarzios or Seymour Duncans. No hyperbole. I glorify these pickups quite frequently, as I'm sure most of you have noticed, but there is good reason for it.
