Also a maple neck, but I agree that it would be a great choice. Can't really go wrong with a 750 or Archtop Pro.

Since neck thru's are always 'cut' at the pickup routes (especially Jackson's NT construction) they aren't that different from Set necks

Well I thx you for all your input. I guess I'll have to sit tight and wait for a 90-91 Archtop pro to become available.

Anyone have a beat up one? I love refinishing guitars. As long as there's no chunks of wood missing and the fret (board) is intact, I might be interested.
        Thx again for the input

Carvin will build you something close. Why not just get a Les Paul Axcess or a Parker single cut?

Simple. IMHO Floyds do not belong on a Les Paul.

and Parkers are ugly as sin.

            like I said IMO lol

You need to take that to the classifieds. I've been waiting years for one to come my way. I scored a 1956 Les Paul and I still can't get an AT Pro LOL!

I do have a bad-ass 750XL. You have't done you research. 750's come with a larger chuck of mahogany than the AT Pros. They have rosewood instead of maple as well.

And yes, these fit the bill perfectly as a shreader with LP tone. Mine 750 is a fixed bridge, not a Floyd, so it would sound more like an LP.
